Bobbie Jean Cooper Adlington, 88, of Linthicum, Maryland and Hollywood, Florida passed away peacefully at Stella Maris Hospice after a lengthy illness. "Jean", as she was affectionately called by her family was born in Gurly, Alabama on July 22, 1928, to the late Lee Roy and Fannie Lee (Moore) Reed. When she was younger she moved to Maryland to be closer to her family. She began her career with the Maryland Transportation Authority and retired as Supervisor level 3, after 37 years. After retirement she enjoyed the lifestyle of a snow bird. While spending her winters in Hollywood she began volunteering at Memorial Regional Hospital and found great fulfilment in serving others. She also enjoyed international travel especially the European countries of France, Ireland, Greece and Italy. She was a member of the Glen Burnie Church of Christ.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, daughter, Sherry Wilke and her husband, Frederick; sons, Ronald Cooper and his wife, Dora, and Kevin Cooper; brother, Kenneth Reed; sisters, Linda White and Patricia Hagan; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 husbands, James L. Cooper, and Harold Adlington; siblings, Colleen and Tommy Wayne Reed.
Visitation will be held at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, Glen Burnie, on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 7-9:00 PM, with a Celebration of Life service on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

She will be remembered for her beauty that reflected not only on the outside but on the inside as well. She was known as a sweet and loving person and made an impression on all who met her.
