Bryan W. Groff, 64, of Jefferson, Maryland, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, while at home. He was born on December 29, 1956, in Baltimore, Maryland. Bryan is the son of Oscar J. Groff and the late Lucille "Patricia" Groff (Gibson). He lived in Glen Burnie until moving to Leesburg, Virginia in 1984 where he pursued a career with the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller. Bryan retired after 38 years of service with the FAA. He was an avid Fisherman, loved to kayak, and a man of many talents. He enjoyed woodworking, drawing, video gaming with his grandkids, watching football, and most of all spending time with his family. Bryan attended Victory Baptist Church in Boonsboro, MD. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Bryan is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Bonnie Groff (Baker), of Jefferson, two daughters, Jessica Mejia (Miguel), of Nottingham, and Bethany Walsh (Shawn), of Jefferson, two sisters, Terri Gomez (Robert) of Roswell, GA., and Diana Smith (Kenny) of McDonough, GA., StepMom, Jeanette (Jan) Briere-Groff of Alpharetta, Ga., seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, Jacob Harter, Brandi Harter, Alexandria Mejia, Samantha Walsh, Tanner Bryan Walsh, Jonathan Mejia, Natalynn Walsh, and Iris Harter, three nieces, and one nephew, Tracey Muth of Roswell, Juliet Martin of McDonough, Alexander Gomez of Roswell, and Julia Gomez of Roswell.
The family wishes to keep all services at the funeral home private, however, everyone is invited to the cemetery, Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie for a graveside service on Wednesday, April 7th at 3PM.
Officiating the service will be Pastor Aaron Hartman and Pastor Ed Wade.
