Carl Hoppe, Jr

On July 14, 2009, Carl William Hoppe, Jr. passed away. He is survived by his cherished wife of 44 years, Dorothy E. Merson. Carl is also survived by his loving step-son Kenneth Merson Sr., step-daughter-in-law Lindsey Merson, and brothers Henry "Henny" Hoppe and Frederick "Fitz" Hoppe. Other survivors include his stepgrandchildren Riley & Daniel Gardner and Bobbie Jo, Sandra, and Kenneth Merson, Jr. as well as many nieces & nephews. Carl was predeceased by his step-children Gilbert & Sandra Merson and brother Earl Hoppe.
Carl was born in Baltimore to Anna & Carl Hoppe, Sr. and served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion, the Moose Lodge for 50 years and the WWII Memorial Museum in Louisianna. Carl loved shortwave radios, other electronics, walking, fishing, sightseeing, and attending festivals & fairs.
