Carl Iii

Carl Lawrence Hein, III, passed away on August 19, 2014 surrounded by his love ones. Carl was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Carl Lawrence Hein, Jr. and the late Dorothy Lee Hein. Carl attended Severn School and Syracuse University. He spent over 25 years working for the family business, Hein Bros. Oil Company. He ran the retail business, Casual Furniture Gallery until it closed in 1999 before becoming Chief Financial Officer for the heating oil company.

An active member of the community, Carl was a member of the Glen Burnie Rotary Club, serving as President in 2002. He also served as President of the Casual Furniture Association, Director at Glen Burnie Mutual Savings Bank, Commissioner of the Maryland State Lottery Board and a past member of the Glen Burnie High School Business Advisory Board.

Carl is survived by his wife, Betsy and his two daughters, Emily and Katie; his father, Carl Hein, Jr.; his sisters, Carla Deckleman and her family and Cynthia Homoky and her family. He was preceded in death by his brother Kirk; his mother, Dorothy and his niece, Elizabeth Young.
