Carmella R. Kupfer (nee Azzaro) of Glen Burnie, MD, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2023. She was born May 22, 1932 in the Little Italy neighborhood of Baltimore. After working for almost 50 years as a Registered Nurse at several different Hospitals and Care facilities, she retired in 2020 at the age of 87. Carmella was an avid reader, decorator and cook. Her home was adorned for any holiday and she loved preparing meals for her family. Carmella was preceded in death by her parents Angelo and Crescentia Azzaro, Husband Arthur Kupfer and Son Christopher MacCubbin. She is survived by her son Charles MacCubbin, daughter-in-law Deborah MacCubbin, son Joseph MacCubbin, grandchildren Angela and Chris Shaw, Ashley MacCubbin, Austin and Chelsea MacCubbin, great-grandchildren Gwenivere and Jossalynn Shaw, Everett and Leona MacCubbin, beloved brother Anthony Azzaro, niece Maria and her husband Len Ottone, step-daughters Maxine Kupfer Bukowitz and Betsy Kupfer Keating.
The family will host visitation at Singleton’s Funeral home on Tuesday January 31, 2023, 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held for Carmella on Wednesday, Febuary 1, 2023, 10:00am, at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, Little Italy, Baltimore.
