Carol Young

Carol Mae Young passed away on January 30, 2007 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD after a 2 month battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Dick Young; 2 sons, Scott and Stephen Young, her mother, Rita Hoover, 6 brothers, Bill, Bob, Jake, Ron, Russ and Ken; 7 sisters, Myrna, Becky, JoAnn, Alma, Terry, Jeannie and Lois; 3 grandchildren, Taylor, Nathan and Shannon. Carol was preceded in death by her father, John Hoover, 1 Brother Eddie Hoover and her Father and Mother - In law, Robert and Mary (Miller) Young.
She Was born in Spangler, PA on June 20, 1945, then attended Cresson Joint High School, graduating in 1963. After moving to Maryland, she became an active member of the Church of the Crucifixion. She was a facilitator of the intecessory prayer team and led many bible studies. She loved music, singing and playing guitar. She led songs for bible studies and sang in several weddings. She also enjoyed vacationing to the ocean with her friends. She will deeply be missed by many.
