Carole Binney

Carole (Nee Swisher) Binney, 73, of Severn passed away peacefully on August 17, 2018 at her residence. Carole was born in Coatesville, PA to the late George D. and Catherine E. (nee Clouser) Swisher. She graduated from Coatesville High School and continued her education at American University where she graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Journalism in 1966. She began a career at N.S.A as Analyst Reporter until her children were born and she became a devoted mother. She married the love of her life Bill on Sept. 5, 1970. Carole was not only a cat lover but an advocate for cats as well. She gave her time and resources to ensure animals were fed, neutered, and loved. At times she cared for over 40 cats at once. Her care extended beyond just cats to any animal that crossed her path. She also enjoyed being a massage therapist.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, William Binney; sons, David Andrew Binney, Gregory James Binney, and Matthew Charles Binney; and her grandson, Shannon Trent Binney.

The family will receive visitors at St Alban's Episcopal Church on Monday Aug. 27, 2018 from 12:00 Noon until 1 PM for a gathering. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will follow at 1:00 PM at the church. Inurnment Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. Memorial Contributions may be made to Cats R Us P.O.
