Carraus Welch

On January 10, 2008, Carraus "Steve" Welch passed on. Steve is survived by his lovely wife of 26 years, Elizabeth C. Welch; his dear step-sons, Richard and Wesley Barkley; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his loving sisters, Phordia Jackson, Ruth Thornton and Leola Watkins; his dear brother, Gothie Lee Welch; and his devoted friends, Shirley and Earl Brown and James and Raymell Gladden. Steve was born in Dekalb, Mississippi in 1919. He served in the United States Army for over twenty years and retired with the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of the VFW, Chapter 9 Enlisted Men, the Masonic Lodge at 1205 Eutaw Place in Baltimore and the Masons-past most worshipful. Steve enjoyed many hobbies in life. He loved playing Pinochle, growing plants and farming. He was a man with honor who was loved by many.
