Carrington Randolph Branham “Bootie,” 88, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Hospice of the Chesapeake Inpatient Care Center in Pasadena. He was born in Amherst, Virginia, to the late Ruby and Boyd Branham. Bootie worked for University of Maryland Agriculture Research for over 40 years and was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Amherst. He enjoyed cheering on the Orioles and Ravens, crossword puzzles, and taking Sunday rides.
Bootie is survived by his loving companion of 40 years, Eva A. Johns; his beloved daughter, Deborah Markwith; his cherished grandchildren, Sarah and Olivia; and his four adored great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his four brothers and three sisters.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Monday, April 10th, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, April 11th, at 10:30 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carrington’s name may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake at www.hospicechesapeake.org
