Carroll Joseph Della, 79 of Annapolis passed away on December 13, 2022. Carroll was born on April 2, 1943 in Baltimore to the late Carroll and Margaret Della. Carroll retired from General Motors after 35 years of service. He was a Lifetime member of the Patapsco Ridge Beagle Club, he trained and raised beagles and had several Field Trial Champions. Carroll enjoyed hunting. In the grandchildrens younger years, Carroll enjoyed riding them around in his Golf cart. He also enjoyed going to his son's baseball games and coached when he could and later enjoyed going to the grandchildren's high school and college games. He loved his family and will be deeply missed.
Along with his parents, Carroll was preceded in death by his son Lt. Brian Della; and his brother, Gary Della. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Darlene A. Della; his son Paul Della and his wife, Kimberly; his daughter-in-law, Courtney Della; his grandchildren, Peter and his wife, Michaela, Catherine and her husband, Matthew, Emily, Rachel and Ryan; his great-grandchildren, Elin and Sybil; and his brothers, Ronnie and Ricky Della.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Monday, December 19th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 20th at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Glen Haven Mem. Park.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be to Lt. Brian Della Fishing Camp Fund , Annapolis Police Foundation, 211 Severn Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403.
