Carroll Hall, Jr

Mr. Carroll L. Hall, Jr., 81, of Ferndale and previously of Brooklyn Park, passed away on June 26, 2011 at University of Maryland Medical Center. Carroll was born in 1929 in Baltimore, MD to the late Anna B. and Carroll L. Hall, Sr. He was a graduate of Southern High School, class of 1948. Carroll served in the US Army from 1951-1953, where he received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Occupational Medal (Japan) and the Good Conduct Medal. Carroll was employed with BGE for 37 years. He was a member of the Brooklyn Boosters Club and the Ferndale Community Club. He enjoyed golf, crabs, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and dancing. He was the beloved husband of 29 years of Dorothy E. Hall; devoted father of Beverly Shreve-Foote and husband Fred, Robert Hall and wife Liz, and the late Susan Hall; loving step-father of Charlotte Meyers and husband Eddie, and Karen Strauss and husband Don; cherished grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 3. Carroll was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Vinson.
