Carroll Higdon, Sr.

Carroll L. Higdon, Sr., 96 of Glen Burnie passed away on September 7, 2019. Carroll was born on April 4, 1923 in Baltimore to the late William and Minnie Higdon. Carroll honorably served in the US Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 70 years, Josephine L. Higdon; and his siblings, Raymond Higdon, Frank “Buddy” Higdon, Earl Higdon, Hilda Baker, Audrey Higdon, Norma Turvis. Carroll is survived by his son, Carroll L. Higdon, Jr. (Cindy) and his daughter, Robin S. Barkley (Steve); his grandchildren, Steven Higdon, Melissa Nagy, Jonathan Barkley and Rachel Barkley; his great-grandchildren, Olivia, Sarah and Camden. Carroll enjoyed gardening, loved to fish and crab and was an amazing carpenter, building several houses over the years for himself and family.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on from Friday, Sept. 13th from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14th at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Glen Haven Mem. Park.
