Catherine Shaffer

Catherine Louise Shaffer passed away on November 24 at the age of 93. She was a loving wife to the late Robert Shaffer. A devoted mother to Geraldine P. Paige and Lewis Shaffer. And a dear sister to Gladys Griffith and Shirley Phelps. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her Sons, Charles, Robert, and Freddie Ross; her daughter, Anita Ross Jackson; her sisters, Elaine Starlings and Patsy Mise; and her brothers, Joseph, Robert, and Stanley Sweenny.

Mrs. Shaffer was born in Edgewater, MD on October 20, 1913. She worked as a waitress for twenty years at Central Restaurant and Sidewalk Cafe. Catherine loved Bingo, chocolate cake, and her dogs.
