Cecil Henson, 78, of Glen Burnie, passed away on May 12, 2022, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Cecil was born in Goose Rock, Kentucky, on March 22, 1944, to the late Mary and Lawrence Henson. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army from 1965-1967, as a Specialist 4. He then went on to work as a truck driver for many years at Colonial Trucking, then retiring from USF Red Star Trucking. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 557, and he enjoyed fishing, collecting “things,” and finding a good deal at yard sales and flea markets.
Cecil is survived by his devoted wife, Michele B. Henson; his loving children, Cindy Lamothe, Penny Storm, Jenn Henson, and Jess Henson; his cherished grandchildren, Robby White, Emily Mewshaw, Janie Storm, Jacob Storm, Cole Lamothe, Avery Arnold, Brandon Chang, Grayson Chang, and Alex Hawk; his beloved great-grandchildren, Molli and Colton White; and his dear siblings, Ernie Henson Sr., Mildred Grim-Baker, and Hazel Waddell. Cecil was predeceased by his son, Cecil Michael Alexander Henson, and his siblings, Herman, Erman, Earl Lawrence Jr., and Jesse Henson, Jewel Anders, and Ernest & Cledith Henson.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. S. W. (at Crain Hwy) on Wednesday, May 18th, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM, with a Celebration of Life held at a 6 PM in the funeral home chapel.
