On July 3, 2014, Mr. Centry "Mack" McCray, Jr. passed away peacefully at his Millersville home in the care of family and friends. Mr. McCray was born on October 23, 1937 in Alcolu, S.C. He served our country with honor for 21 years in the Army, receiving a Bronze Star in Vietnam, and retiring as a Master Sergeant. He continued his service by joining the DC Department of Employment Services in Washington, D.C. as a Veteran's Representative, working to help veterans receive benefits and job training. Mack was a member of the Argonne Hill Chapel at Ft. Meade and belonged to their Bible study group. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, working around the house and on cars.
Mr. McCray was preceded in death by his wife Elise McCray. He is survived by his children; Orah C. McCray, Brigitte McCray and her husband Butch, Gary McCray, Elder Clementine Brooks-Pryor, and Mae Frances Wilder. Mack is also survived by his grandchildren; Ruth Ann Edwards, Victoria Wilder, Regina Wilder, Milton Wilder Jr., Erik Wilder, Tanya Gibson, Whitley Pryor, Wynette Pryor and Jordan McCray Robinson and his sisters; Roberta Gigger and Dorothy Brown and numerous nieces and nephews.
