On May 19, 2017, Charles "Bud" Amos, 82, of Glen Burnie, passed away at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Bud was born on February 14, 1935, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Mary and James Amos. He was a superintendent for a construction company for many years and he enjoyed woodworking and scrolling, crossword puzzles, bluegrass music, but most of all, he enjoyed helping people, especially with any construction projects.
Bud was predeceased by his devoted wife of 59 years, Janet C. Amos and two siblings. He is survived by his loving children, Edward Amos and his wife Nancy, Kathy Gibson and her husband Joe, Harry Amos and his wife Donna, and Charlie Amos and his significant other Becky; his nine cherished grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; and his dear siblings, Mary Lou Heath and Ronald Amos.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie on Thursday, May 25th, from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 26th, at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bud's name may be made to the Arthritis Foundation at www.arthritis.org or the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
