Charles Arthur Cook, 93 of Glen Burnie passed away on August 28, 2024. Charles was born on November 11, 1930, in Aspers, Pennsylvania to the late Arthur and Nora Cook. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Y. Cook., and his siblings, Roy Cook and Martha Bogner. He is survived by his children, Jeffrey Cook (Susan), Karen Potteiger (Dave), and Melissa Nilles (Dave); his grandchildren, Timothy, Bradley, Daniel (Mercedes), Evan (Samantha), Nicholas, Andrew, and Jeremy, and his great-grandson, Conrad Cook.
Charles proudly served in the United States Army. His military service, and work with the Department of Defense for over 32 years were a testament to his dedication to his country. In addition to his service, Charles had a passion for walking, fishing, crossword puzzles, Chinese checkers, and sports. He also enjoyed family get-togethers, and going to the dinner theatre. He derived immense joy from his interests, particularly when they involved spending time with his grandchildren. His love for them was palpable, and he cherished every moment spent helping them learn and grow.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Thursday, Sept. 5th from 6-8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Bernadette Church on Friday, Sept. 6th at 10:30 AM. Interment at MD Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville will be held on Tuesday, Sept 10th at 1 PM.
