Charles Crawford, Jr

Charles William Crawford, Jr., 94, of Glen Burnie passed away on July 20, 2018. Charles was born on March 14, 1924 in Emmitsburg. He served in the US Army during WWII, landed on Normandy Beach and fought in the Battle of Bastogne and received the Bronze Star. He was very active in his church community. Charles enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a Baltimore Colts and Orioles fan and was a very supportive University of Maryland Booster.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret Crawford, Mary Claytor and Jane Bowden.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Anna Mary Crawford; his sons, Timothy W. Crawford, Sr. (Sarah) and Charles W. Crawford, III (Sandy); his grandchildren, Timothy W. Crawford, Jr., Christina M. Kent (Dan), Michelle A. Kafka, Michael Willis (Kelly) and Kevin Crawford; his great grandchildren, Kirea, Jayden, Nathan, Joseph and Jameson; and his brother, Ben Crawford.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Holy Trinity Church on Tuesday at 10 AM. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
