Charles Marsh

Charles Edward Marsh, 81, of Glen Burnie, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on March 30, 2022. He was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to the late James and Florence Marsh. A Vietnam veteran, he honorably served his country in the Army, receiving the rank of Sergeant. Charles was a member of the American Legion posts 40, 195 and 187. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing cards, being outdoors, shooting pool and was an avid dog lover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, James Marsh, Margie Miller (Marvin), Barbara Wingfield (Bill) and Carl Marsh (Shirley); brother-in-law, Donald Overton; and his best friends, Allen and Avonia Gee.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Sandra Lee Marsh; loving daughter and step-sons, Sherie Salyer and her husband, Thomas, Robert Lease and his wife, Rosalee and Henry Ott; cherished grandchildren, Shawn (Marla), Kyle, Kayla, Destiny, Kole and Isabelle; beloved great-grandson, Shawn Jr.; and dear siblings, Gary Marsh (Debbie), Gerald Marsh (Susan), Helen Crum (Roger) and Mary Overton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Monday, April 4th, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8  PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
