On August 24, 2015, Charles Edward Niemann, of Millersville, passed away at Fairfield Nursing and Rehab. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 9, 1924 to the late Audrey and Michael Niemann. Charles served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Philippines as a Sergeant First Class. He worked for Bethlehem Steel as a supervisor at the shipyard for 37 years and was a member of the Glen Burnie Masonic Lodge 213. Charles enjoyed crabbing, fishing, gardening, working out, and most of all, spending time with his family.
Charles is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Nelda J. Niemann; his beloved children, Charles W. Niemann and his wife Christine, and Christine A. Janson and her husband Gerry; his cherished grandchildren, Stacey Davis, Shawn Janson, Charles Janson, Marie Atkinson, Michael Janson, Scott Almes, Kyle Almes, Katelyn Atkinson, and Max Janson; and his siblings, Carolyn Smith, Mox Niemann and his wife Sandra.
