Eventually, he secured his dream job at Lockheed Martin Aerospace, where he served as a quality control manager until his retirement in 2002 at the age of 55. Following retirement, Chuck and Mary moved from Glen Burnie to Bethany Beach, Delaware, to enjoy their golden years by the shore.

He lived by his beliefs, showing his love for God through his unwavering devotion to his family, friends, and community. He and Mary loved spending time together on the beach, relishing the peacefulness of the ocean. Chuck took great joy in teaching his grandson the art of fishing and crabbing, passing down his knowledge with pride. He also found happiness in working in his yard and being outdoors. A passionate sports fan, Chuck was a loyal supporter of the Baltimore Orioles and enjoyed attending Shorebirds games.
