Charles W. Seifert Jr., 72, of Millersville, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2023, after a long illness. He was born in Baltimore to the late Charles W. Seifert Sr. and Dorothy Freund. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandsons, watching college football and westerns, coaching his children’s sports teams, and playing cards. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Robert.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Katherine Seifert; devoted daughter, Rebecca Bowen and her husband, Scott; devoted son, Charles W. Seifert III and his wife, Alaina; cherished grandchildren, Austin Bowen, Lucas Bowen, Chase Seifert, Connor Seifert and Colton Seifert; dear sister, Ruthann Holbrook; and devoted cousin, Glen Freund.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 Second Avenue, SW, (at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Sunday, January 15th, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, 11 AM, at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Avenue South, Millersville, MD 21108. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Association by visiting www.als.org/dc-md-va or a charity of your choice. Interment at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville will be held at a later date.
