Clara Corpening

Clara F. Corpening, 64, a resident of Severn for 26 years, passed away on December 10, 2012 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Clara was born on September 1, 1948 in Italy to the late Agostino and Dorodea Federici. She graduated from Anne Arundel Community College with an Associate's Degree in visual communications. She was employed with OCTO in Laurel as a film tech and was a graphic designer with Meade Senior High School and the Board of Education. Clara was a past member of St. Lawrence Martyr in Jessup. In her spare time, she enjoyed cleaning, cooking and gardening. This past year, she achieved her lifelong dream if hiking Machu Picchu in Peru, even during her illness. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin; son, Christopher Corpening; and one brother. She is survived by her son, Sam Federici and wife Krystal; grandson, Roman Federici; and two sisters, Anna Onofri and Rosanna Federici.
