CPO James M. Doyle, USN (ret.); 88, of Glen Burnie passed away at the University of MD Medical Center on December 25, 2009; Mr. Doyle was born in Baltimore, MD in 1921. He served in the US Navy for 20 years reaching the rank of Chief Petty Officer and earning the Good Conduct (5th Award) Medal for service ending May 15, 1961. He also worked for the US Postal Service for 20 years. Mr. Doyle was active in the American Legion Post #40 and St. Bernadette Parish. He enjoyed bowling and coin collecting. He also loved his dog and faithful companion, Golden Boy. He is the beloved husband of the late Mary E. Doyle; devoted father of James Doyle, Jr., Pat Doyle, David Doyle, Bryan Doyle, Mark Doyle, Peggy Chase, Lisa Wilkerson and Joseph Doyle; dear brother of Catherine Cebula, Jean Kowleski and the late Margaret Alteater and Mildred Falter; beloved son of the late James M. Doyle, Sr. and Edith Schneider; loving companion of the late Norma Hanlon. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
