Cyril Bohle

September 24, 1922 — March 7, 2011

Mr. Cyril "Butch" Bohle, 88, of Glen Burnie, Maryland passed away on March 7, 2011 at Northwest Hospital after a battle with lung cancer. Butch was born in Baltimore, MD in 1922 to the late Molly and Francis Bohle. He was a member of the US Merchant Marines. Butch worked for the US Coast Guard in Curtis Bay for 30 years, until retiring in 1988. He also worked as a Butcher and owned a boat yard that his father used to own. Butch enjoyed sailing on Bodkin Creek and the Chesapeake Bay. He liked tinkering with boats and doing mechanic work and woodworking. He also enjoyed building things for the family. Butch would dress up as Santa Claus for the neighborhood children. He was the beloved husband of 67 years of Lavinia "Lou" Wood Bohle; devoted father of Barry "Beri" Bohle; loving grandfather of Brandi Dyer, Angelica Raborg, April Moorehead and Christopher Bohle; cherished great-grandfather of Ashlyn Raborg and Luke Moorehead. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lynda B. Taylor.
