"Daisy" Buclous

"Daisy" Despina Buclous, 84, of Pasadena, MD, formerly of Clearwater, FL and previously of Glen Burnie, left this world on May 26, 2023. Daisy was born in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania to the late Argerious and Andrianna Tselepis. She was employed as an administrator with the Anne Arundel County Board of Education, retiring after 30 years of faithful service. Devoted to her faith, she was an active and longtime member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Clearwater, Florida. She and her late husband, Sam, cooked for the Outreach People of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and also fed the homeless of Pinellas County for 10 years. Daisy was an integral part of the annual Greek festival and active with the Outreach Program.  She was also a member of the Daughter’s of Penelope, Philoptochos ladies group and a past member of the Eastern Star. She loved her family and church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 56 years, Samuel Louis Buclous; siblings, James Tselepis, Alex Tselepis and Mary Tselepis Kappas (James); and her brother-in-law, James Buclous (Genevieve).

Daisy is survived by her loving sons, Elliot, Michael and Gary Buclous of Maryland; devoted daughter-in-law, Alyssa, who has also been her wonderful nurse and caregiver; many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one grand-puppy, Bond; and her sister-in-law, Chris Schmidt (Richard) of Florida. She will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, Godchildren and her extended church family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Outreach Program, 409 Old Coachman Road, Clearwater, FL 33765.

Visitation will be held at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens in Clearwater, Florida on Friday, June 2nd, from 6 - 8 PM, with the Trisagion at 6 PM. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 3rd, 12 PM, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Clearwater, Florida.
