Damian Richardson

On December 1, 2022, Damian Michael Richardson, 57, of Odenton, passed away at the Hospice of the Chesapeake Inpatient Center. Damian is survived by his beloved daughter, Kaley M. Richardson McGowan; and his loving siblings, Debra M. Burns, Joan M. Shores, Mark M. Richardson and Diana M. Gleysteen. He is also survived by his fiancée, Janet Wehrle. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clara and Nick Carpellotti; parents, Diana M. and John M. Richardson; and two brothers, Michael J. and Ric M. Richardson. Damian was born on August 19, 1965 in Fort Greeley, Alaska. He graduated from Old Mill High School in 1983 and went on to earn an Associate’s degree in instrumentation engineering. He worked many years for Veolia Energy and later, Vicinity Energy in Baltimore. He enjoyed many outdoor activities- swimming, biking, motorcycle riding, fishing and hunting. He loved animals, especially his dog, Patch and cat, Garden, birdwatching and gardening. Damian was an avid reader and practical joker. He loved rock and roll music and was a very hard worker who enjoyed the simpler things in life.

A memorial service will be held at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, 1 2nd Avenue SW, Glen Burnie, on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 2 PM. There will be a gathering time for family and friends from 1 – 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake by visiting www.hospicechesapeake.org .
