David Bissett

On June 30, 2015, David Milton Bissett, of Odenton, passed away at Howard County General Hospital. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 9, 1933 to the late Burdelle and Raymond Bissett. Dave served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Boatswain's Mate U Third Class. He then went on to work as a mechanical engineer for N.S.A. for 35 years. He belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the "Old Farts" Club. Dave enjoyed golfing, reading, fishing and crabbing, eating crabs with beer, and traveling.

Dave is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Joan E. Bissett; his beloved daughters, Carole Anne Showalter and her husband Harry, Barbara Gaye Malott and her husband Del, and Katharine Jean Pittman and her husband Joe; his loving grandchildren, David Russell Coulson, Sean Allan Malott, Sandra Elizabeth Malott, Christopher Andrew Malott, Jennifer Renee Pittman, and, Brandon Joseph Pittman; his cherished great-grandchildren, Trinity Coulson, Adalyn Mae Malott, Anthony Druding, and Gavin Druding; his dear sister, Irona Louise Hodges; and numerous nieces and nephews.
