David Guite

February 3, 1966 — July 22, 2006

On July 22, 2006, David Kenneth Guite of Houston, Texas, formerly of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away. Beloved son of Jean Guite and the late Ronald E. Guite; Loving brother of Monica L. Henkel and her husband David, Kimberly D. Cieri and her husband Scott, Kevin M. Guite and his wife Jennifer; Cherished grandson of Miriam Boschert and the late George Boschert and the late Roy and Edna Guite; Adoring uncle of Lauren and Andrew Henkel, Emily and Natalie Cieri and Zhanna Guite. David was the Principal for Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Elementary School in Galena Park, Texas. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Maryland and he attended the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he earned a J.D. in Law. He then received a M. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Loyola College in Maryland before earning a M.A. in Catholic School Administration from the University of San Francisco's Institute for Catholic Educational Leadership (ICEL) program. He has taught both middle school and high school levels. He published a research article in June 2001 entitled, "School Personnel and Employment Law: A Legal Analysis for Today's Elementary and Secondary Catholic Schools" in the journal, Catholic Education: A Journey of Inquiry and Practice. David graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1984. He was a member of the basketball and soccer squads during high school and played one year of soccer for the University of Maryland. David enjoyed going to the gym, playing sports, politics and especially spending time with his family and nieces and nephew.
