Della Marie Wharton

D ella Marie Wharton, 91, of Linthicum, passed away on January 16, 2022. She was born in Midland, Pennsylvania to the late Thomas Bennett and Julia Gertrude Harris. She enjoyed quilting, watching movies, arts and crafts, painting and cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Roy Davis “Pud” Wharton; loving son, David Wharton; and dear sister, Shirley Matthews.

Marie is survived by her loving children, Shirley Tepper, Mike Wharton and his wife, Kim; cherished grandchildren, Dallas, Tiffany, Paul, Jean-Marie, Christopher, Austin, Nikki and Josh; 11 beloved great-grandchildren; one loving great-great-grandson; and caring brother, Tom Harris and his wife, Betty.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Sunday, January 23rd, from 2 - 5 PM. She will be interred at Ligonier Valley Cemetery in Ligonier, PA.
