Dennis Edward Bailey, 63, of Severn, passed away on October 7, 2014. He was born in Buffalo Creek, West Virginia to the late Ruby and Ace Bailey. Dennis served his country proudly in the United States Army National Guard as a Sergeant for the 1st Batallion 115th Infantry. Dennis then went on to work for the Washington Post as a production manager for over 30 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Third Order member of the Trinitarians, and a parishioner of St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church in Jessup where served as usher and Eucharistic Minister. Dennis enjoyed coaching softball and football, boating, fishing, and McDonald's apple pies.
Dennis is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Frances S. Bailey; his beloved children, Amanda Leaphart and Jason M. Bailey, Sr.; his cherished grandchildren, Harley Leaphart, Jason "Bubba" Bailey, Jr., Alyssa Goodchild, Jacob Leaphart, and Lexis Bailey; his dear siblings, Wannis Bailey, Arlene Bailey, Ailene Peters; his son-in-law, Kelly Leaphart; his future daughter-in-law, Sherry Goodchild; and friend, Wyatt Heinlein. In addition to his parents, Dennis was also predeceased by his brother, Ron Bailey.
