On April 2, 2017, Diana Rae Salatti, of Baltimore, MD, passed away at the age of 61. Diana was born on March 21, 1956, in Chicago, IL, and served her country proudly in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant where she earned the Soldier of the Year in 1981 at the Military District of Washington. She was then stationed at Fort Meade in the 95th Army Reserve Command. Diana went on to work as a security officer at the "new" Marley Station Mall where she became the first Sergeant, then she was a health care provider, and then she was a driving instructor for CBS Driving School in Glen Burnie, MD. She was a devout member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Glen Burnie. She enjoyed crafting, photography, sculpting, woodworking, cooking, playing piano, and she was an excellent seamstress.
Diana is survived by her cherished son, Nicholas Salatti, Jr.; her beloved fiancé, Michael Burton; and her dear siblings, Lynette and George.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie on Sunday, April 9th, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, April 10th, at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. Memorial contributions in Diana's name may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
