Dolores Davis

On January 13, 2018, Dolores "Dolly" Anna Davis, of Pasadena, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 27, 1929 to the late Robert Kehs and Thelma Kurth. Dolly was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Charles B. Davis Sr., and great-grandson, Michael Norby. Dolly is survived by her children, Dolly Ann Hall, Charles Davis Jr. and his wife, Amy, John Davis Sr. and his wife, Christine; her grandchildren, Vicki Massey, Missy Kerns (Scott), Katie Davis, Kristopher Davis (Christina), Jennifer Cook (Victor), Peggy Davis, Megan Davis, and John Davis Jr. (Chrissy); her ten cherished great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Robert Kehs and John Kehs. Dolly and Charles opened Wesley Day Care in 1969 and continued to operate it for 10 years. Dolly loved welcoming family and friends to her home with homemade baked goods. A loving mother, grandmom and great-grandmom, she loved supporting and being involved in family activities. Dolly and Charles enjoyed their retirement in Vero Beach, FL. She worshipped at Severna Park United Methodist Church. Throughout her life, she enjoyed volunteering for Ki-Wives, Meals on Wheels and many church activities. She proudly volunteered 16,155.5 hours on the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center Auxiliary (formerly North Arundel Hospital) and was a board member of the hospital for six years.
Visitation will be held at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy) in Glen Burnie, on Friday, January 19th, from 3-5 & 7-9 PM.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 20th, 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway; Pasadena, MD 21122.
