Dominick Macaluso, age 95, of Severn, MD, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at home. He was born on September 9, 1928, in upstate Rochester, NY, to the late Santo and Leanarda Macaluso. He retired from the Army Field Band after 35 years of service as a Seargent Major. He enjoyed table tennis, bowling, horseshoes, bocce ball and shooting pool. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Dominick was preceded in death by his son, John Macaluso, and his siblings. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Ann Macaluso (Miklasz). He is also survived by his devoted children, daughter Susan Burton, her husband James, and his son Mark Macaluso; cherished grandchildren, Nicole Burton (Jeremy Thompson and his son, Ryan), Shelly Burton (Jeremy Ford), Anthony Macaluso, his wife Grace and Veda Macaluso; adored great-grandchildren Nathan, Preston, Maya and Violet. He will also be missed by many friends, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A. in Glen Burnie on Sunday, May 12, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, also on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Mass will be held at 12 PM on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church, followed by burial at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
