Donald Martin Jacobson, 90, formerly of Glen Burnie, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2018 at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home in St. Mary's County.
Donald was born on Oct. 9, 1927 in Baltimore, MD one of four children to the late Lewis and Rose (Seigel) Jacobson. While working out at a gym in Baltimore he met Beverly, the woman who would eventually become his wife. Together they enjoyed many years of marriage until her passing in 1992. In 1962 Donald and his wife moved to Glen Burnie and raised their only child, Martin. Donald worked for Westinghouse and Bendix. He had a great love of music and enjoyed playing the organ and steel guitar in his spare time and performing at different events. He also enjoyed photography and filming, and had a home dark room at age 11. Donald's faith was an important part of his life he attended several Baptist churches in his lifetime. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army toward the end of WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 3 siblings, Muriel, Phillip, and Stuart. He is survived by his son, Martin W. Jacobson and his wife Cecilia; and his beloved granddaughters, Elsa, Hilda, and Zoe.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave SW (at Crain Hwy.) on Saturday, March 31st starting at 9:30AM. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment Louden Park Cemetery.
