Donald Smith, Sr.

Donald Vincent Smith, Sr. was 77.  He passed away peacefully in the hospital with family around his bedside on March 9, 2021.  He was born February 20, 1944 to the late Carl Elias Smith and Anna Rosetta Christian Smith.

Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Bernadine Smith and loving children, Donald Smith, Jr., Sean Smith and his wife Noel, and Robert Smith, and step-children, Howard Klohr and his wife Sandy and Rhonda Adolfo and her husband Lou.  He has five siblings.  He is preceded in death by his sister, Carletta Gaunt.  He has five other siblings, Pat Vonderbee, Jim Smith and his wife Virginia, Nettie Noda, Cathy Moyer and Mike Smith.

Donald had 17 grandchildren- Brian (Carisa), Jerome, Brooke, Brandi (Alex), Heather, Alexandria (Rick), Chynna, Somer, Maddy, Henry, Rob, Stefanie, Rachel, Crystal, Bridgett, Marlena and Samantha.  He had 20 wonderful great-grandchildren.

He served his country in the U.S. Army and worked at Northrop Grumman, retiring in 2004.  He enjoyed camping, bowling and golfing, but most of all, Donald cherished spending time with his family.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are only allowing 50 people inside the funeral home at one time and requiring masks for all visitors.  We kindly ask that you please keep your visit brief, as there may be people waiting to enter the funeral home.
