Doris Kees

On August 7, 2018, Doris Jane Kees, of Linthicum; beloved wife of the late Theodore J. Kees; devoted mother of Valerie Curtain and Linda Kees; cherished grandmother of Julie A. Hasson, John C. Day Jr., Eric Heilman and Maia Winemiller; and dear sister of Margaret Dixon and Connie Allgaier. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Dwayne Vandervort, Sheldon Vandervort and Inez Thompson; and her parents, Elmer and Mabel Vandervort.

The family will receive visitors at the family owned Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Thursday, August 16th, from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held on Friday, 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 7500 Greenway Center Drive, Ste. 300; Greenbelt, MD 20770.
