Dorothy Fogle

Dorothy A. Hughes Fogle, 89, formerly of Frederick passed away peacefully on Dec. 31, 2018 in Severna Park, MD.

Dorothy was born to the late William and Helen L. (Peyton) Hughes. She was born and raised on the family farm in Lewistown, MD and took pride in being a part of the Hughes family. Dorothy was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being with her family and especially spending quality time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered by her family for inner strength and determination.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lydia Grabill; and son, Robert Fogle; siblings, Buck and Charlie Hughes, and Marie Rippeon.

She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Farmer and her husband, Rev. James Farmer; her sisters, Nina Esworthy, Naomi Lovato; grandchildren, Melissa Potter-Betts, Jaime Potter, James Farmer, II, Robert, Josh, and Joe Fogle; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, and nephews.

A private burial will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, MD where she will be buried with her daughter.
