Dorothy Harris

On April 19, 2018, Dorothy Pearl Harris, 80, of Severn, passed away at Howard County General Hospital. Dorothy was born on February 12, 1938, in Sneedville, Tennessee, to the late Ida and Lee O'Dell. She was an electronics assembler at Westinghouse for 12 years, and prior to that she was a telephone operator. Dorothy was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Glen Burnie and she enjoyed needlepoint, gardening, and baking - especially cake decorating.
Dorothy was predeceased by her devoted husband of 45 years, Donald D. Harris, Sr., as well as six siblings. She is survived by her beloved sons, Donald D. Harris Jr. and his wife Kimberly, and Daniel W. Harris and his wife Tamara; her cherished grandchildren, Katy, Scott, Ben, and Rachel; and her loving sister, Lena Mitchell.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Monday, April 23rd, from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, April 24th, at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Loudon Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dorothy's name may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 308 Oak Manor Drive, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
