Dorothy Bennett

On November 8, 2008, Dorothy Ruth Bennett of Glen Burnie, formerly a resident of Stevensville. Beloved wife of 35 years of the late Gordon C. Bennett; loving mother of Patricia Shupe, Linda Copeland, James Bennett, Charles Bennett, Catherine Montague and her husband Bob, Joseph Bennett, David Bennett and the late Clarence G. Bennett; dear sister of Virginia Stroh, Richard Vane, Beverly Despeaux and Charles Vane; loving grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 12. She was born in Baltimore, MD in 1929. In 1947, she graduated from Jane Addams General Vocational School of Baltimore. She was a seamstress and a cashier at Montgomery Wards for 15 years. Dorothy had many hobbies including crocheting and quilting. She loved raising her children. She also enjoyed camping and fishing with her friends.
