Dorothy Svitak

Dorothy Crockett Svitak, 86, of Linthicum, passed away on May 19, 2014. She was born on December 5, 1927 in Baltimore, MD to the late George and Mary Ward. She was a long time member of Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church, where she sang in the Chancel choir; Dorothy also enjoyed singing with the Notables, a group that went to various nursing homes and senior centers. She also enjoyed bowling, dancing, traveling, delivering Meals on Wheels and was an avid Baltimore Colts and Ravens fan. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late James A. Crockett and Joe Svitak; devoted mother of David Crockett and wife Debbie, Rob Crockett and wife Phyllis and Jeff Crockett and wife Vicki; cherished grandmother of Dan, Mason, Sarah and Rachel; and loving great-grandmother of Jillian and Andy. She was also preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Ward.
