Dorothy R. McPheron, better known as “Dee,” 90, of Glen Burnie, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She was born in Swissvale, Pennsylvania, to the late Anna and Matthew Ritmanich. Dee was formerly a member of Church of the Good Shepherd, and now a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Family was first and foremost for Dee. She loved spending time with her family, especially baking cookies for the holidays. She also enjoyed playing cards, listening to music, and playing bunco at the Pascal Senior Center.
Dee was predeceased by her devoted husband of 52 years, Paul D. McPheron; her beloved sons, Paul “Rick” McPheron and Scott McPheron; and her dear sister, Kathy Humberston. She is survived by her loving son, Mark McPheron; her dear daughters-in-law, Lynda and Pat McPheron; her cherished grandchildren, Jennifer, Ryan, Kyle, Yelena, and Matthew McPheron; and her five adored great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Wednesday, June 7th, from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 8th, at 11 AM, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 6405 S. Orchard Road, Linthicum, MD 21090. Interment in Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dee’s name are requested to go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org , Hospice of the Chesapeake at hospicechesapeake.org , OR American Cancer Society at cancer.org .
