Dr. Raymond W. Palmer Jr., 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 26, 2014. He was born on June 25, 1930 in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up in Linthicum Heights. Ray graduated from Glen Burnie High School and was a graduate of University of Maryland. He received his DDS at University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore and was a proud member of the class of 1956. After two more years of studying. He received his Orthodontic license. In 1954, Ray married his childhood sweetheart, Shirley Miller. They grew up as neighbors on Sycamore Road in Linthicum Heights. He retired from Orthodontics in Anne Arundel County at the age of 74. Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Shirley; three daughters, Jan Palmer, Lynn Norman and Jeanne Cook; four grandchildren, Jerry Minarick Jr., Carly Minarick, Sydney Palmer Cook and Casey Cook; and one brother, Dr. Richard B. Palmer.
