Earl Leroy Sheppard, 85, of Glen Burnie, passed away on March 7, 2018. Earl was born on June 9, 1932 in Cockeysville, MD to the late George H. and Sarah E. (Brown) Sheppard. He attended school in Cockeysville and later in Glen Burnie. He married the love of his life Myrtle Viola Arnold on June 16, 1950 in Glen Burnie. He retired from General Motors as an Assembly Line Worker in 1994 after 42 years. He was a member of The Journey Church formerly Oakwood Wesleyan Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Myrtle V. Sheppard. He is survived by his five children, Richard Sheppard, Bonnie Leonard, Debra Smith, Mary Madkins, and Patricia Townsend; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW, (at Crain Hwy), Glen Burnie, 3 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM on Sat., March 10 and Sun. March 11 for a visitation. A Celebration of Earl's life will be held at The Journey Church, 505 Oakwood Station Rd. in Glen Burnie on Mon. March 12, 2018 at 11AM with a viewing prior beginning at 10AM. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
