On March 3rd, Earscell Gay Hensley Wilhelm (nee Caves) at age 90 went home to be with her Lord and Savior while visiting family in Foley, Alabama. She was predeceased by her father, John Harvey Caves; her mother, Pearl Martin; her loving step-mother, Nora Caves; her sisters, Mary Ellen Caves, Hazel Alcorn, Mabel McMillion, Beaulah Stumps, Helen Farley, Mildred Farley, Donna Valentine, Patricia Bigley, and Shelby Painter; and her brothers, John Harvey Caves, Jr. and Frank Caves.
She is survived by her three sisters, Betty Scott, Sandy Smith, Vivian Allen; and one brother, Darrell Caves. She is also survived by five daughters, Janet Carbary, Joyce Mangione, Brenda Dickinson, Donna Thompson and Carolyn Patrinicola; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Earscell was a beautiful woman who loved God with all her heart. She was given many gifts, gardening (she loved her azaleas) sewing and singing. She retired from the C&P Telephone Company after 27 years of service and later worked at Costco and Bill Kidd's Toyota. Earscell was born in Beckley, WV and arrived in Maryland at the age of 17. She worked as a welder at the shipyard during WWII. She was an ordinary woman who God used in extraordinary ways to share his love to many. She will be sorely missed by all.
