On July 23, 2014, Edmund Slezak, 75, of Glen Burnie departed on his last and final journey. Ed was born in 1938 in Latrobe, PA to George and Katherine Slezak. He served in the US Air Force from 1960-1964. Ed worked at NSA in the field of electrical engineering until he retired. He was a member of the Phoenix Society. Ed enjoyed travelling internationally, working out, socializing with family and friends, and being a part of "Steeler Nation". He was proud to say that he has set foot on each and every continent.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Patricia Ann Slezak. He is survived by two daughters, Sherry Unger and her husband Joseph, and Lori Slezak and her husband Scott Martin; two granddaughters, Lauren Unger and Erin Unger; and his brother, Leroy Slezak.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to be made in his name to the Arthritis Foundation, Southern Maryland Branch, 714 B&A Blvd., Severna Park, MD 21146.
