Edward Walter Barczak, 69 of Glen Burnie, MD, and formerly of Buffalo, NY, peacefully passed away on August 9, 2013. Edward was born on September 26, 1943 in Buffalo, NY. He attended Canisius High School, Canisius College and State University of New York at Buffalo. He was the owner of Service Complete, a printing repair company from 1978-2005. Edward was also a Boy Scouts of America Leader for over 20 years; a Cub Scout Leader, a member of the Holy Name Society and St. Josaphat's Roman Catholic Parish. Edward was an accordion player and enjoyed fishing and camping.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony & Josephine (Malina) Barczak; his sisters, Anna and Theresa Barczak; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert (Boone) and Ruth (Shanley) Burns. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Barczak (Burns); his daughter, Kathleen Baxley (Barczak) and her husband, James Baxley of Elkridge, MD; his son, Andrew Barczak and his wife, Christine Barczak (Stachura) of Orchard Park, NY; his grandchildren, Amber Yates (Baxley), and her husband, Charles Yates of Charlotte, NC, Meghan Baxley of Charlotte, NC, Courtney Pearson (Baxley) and her husband, Dewayne Pearson of Rome, NY; his sisters-in-law, Catherine (Kate) Garfinkel (Burns) and her husband, Sandy Garfinkel of Fox Chapel, PA, Dorothy Schindlinger (Burns) and her husband, Jeffrey (Ron) Schindlinger of Rose Valley, PA and Patricia (Patty) Gibson (Burns) of Monroe, GA; and his brother-in-law, Robert (Bob) Burns of Ashtabula, OH. Edward is also survived by four nieces and one nephew.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Edward's name may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Boy Scouts of America.
