Edward Carl Heppding, 90, of Trappe, Maryland, passed away on January 12, 2021, at his home. Edward was born on September 16, 1930, to the late Louise and Henry Heppding. He served his country proudly in the United States Army as a Sergeant and went on to work as a yard manager at General Wrecking. Edward enjoyed cheering on the Orioles with a Natty Boh in his hand, golfing, fishing, bowling (his nickname was “Hairpin”), and most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Edward is survived by his devoted wife, Constance J. Heppding; his loving children, Sandra A. Kronstadt, Edward V. Heppding (Sheena), Phillip J. Heppding, Denise M. Sullivan (Mike), and Mary A. Whittaker (Duke); his seven cherished grandchildren, and eight beloved great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy), on Saturday, January 16th, from 10 AM – 12 noon with a Celebration of Life service immediately following at noon. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are only allowing 40 people inside the funeral home at one time and requiring masks for all visitors. We kindly ask that you please keep your visit brief, as there may be people waiting to enter the funeral home.
