Edward Russell

Edward L. Russell, 85, of Delmar passed away on October 28, 2015. Ed was born in 1930 in Mount Braddock, Pennsylvania. He served in both the US Army and US Airforce, from which he retired in 1970 as a Master Sergeant. Ed was a member of the VFW Post #8276 in Delmar, MD. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, was an avid Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens fan and was the MD State Champion of "Roller Dance" in the 1940's. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Judith Russell; four children, Richard Russell and his wife Patricia, Patricia Lands, Linda Kunze and Dianna Smith; 17 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; nine step-children, Dean Guth, Deanna Bennett and her husband Vincent, Laura Dohoney, Robyn Schmier and her husband Robert, Debbie Hanks, John Ensor, Todd Ensor, Larry Ensor and Kimberly Ensor-Baker; and his siblings, Betty Farley, Mary Lou Sheppard, Glenn Russell, Kenny Russell and Judy Lacosta. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Russell; his parents, Harry and Delphia Russell; and two brothers, Frank and Ronnie Russell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Coastal Hospice on the Lake, 351 Deers Head Hospital Road, Salisbury, MD 21801.
