Edward F. Shenk, 72, passed away on September 16, 2015 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 21, 1942 to the late Floyd and Mary Shenk. He served in the United States Airforce and retired from the Baltimore City Police Department after 22 years of service. Ed was a member of the FOP and greatly enjoyed country music, day trips, football, especially the Redskins, landscaping, socializing, model trains and going out to eat.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Edward L. Shenk; and wife, Christine Shenk. He is survived by his children, Angela Hartman and Billy Grine; four grandchildren, Stephanie Hartman, Kristina Cooper, Jonathan Grine and Elizabeth Jenkins; one great-grandson, Christopher Rogers, Jr.; and his brother, Charles Shenk. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in his name to Johns Hopkins Childrens Hospital, 750 E. Pratt Street, Ste. 1700, Baltimore, MD 21202- OR- UM Marlene & Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center, UMMS Foundation, 110 S. Paca Street, 9th Floor, Baltimore, MD 21201.
